Abyres

Started in 1997, Abyres has spent nearly three decades doing one thing: building IT systems for large organizations using open-source software instead of expensive licensed tools. Their in-house security product, Cymetrix SOC, won a national APICTA award in 2020 and was built together with CyberSecurity Malaysia, a government agency.

Federal and state government bodies hire them when they want to move off costly proprietary software. Telcos and public universities come in wanting better security monitoring or data infrastructure they can actually own and control. 

They signed a formal agreement with the Melaka State Government and Red Hat to roll out open-source systems across the state — a deal confirmed by a Red Hat press release. Telekom Malaysia recognized them as Best IT Supplier (Local) and Best IT System Integrator in 2021.
