agencies.asia ("we", "us", "our") operates a directory and lead marketplace connecting businesses with agencies in Malaysia and Singapore. This policy explains what personal data we handle and your rights over it. By using the site or submitting a brief, you consent to the practices described here.

Who is responsible for your data

agencies.asia is the data controller for the personal data described below. For any privacy question, access or correction request, or to withdraw consent, contact our data protection contact at hello@agencies.asia.

What we collect

• When you submit a brief (RFQ): your name, email, phone number, company name, and the project details you provide (category, location, budget, timeline, description).
• When you create an agency account: your email, and the business profile information you enter (agency name, description, services, contact details, portfolio, team, pricing).
• When you leave a review: your account identity and the rating and comments you write.
• Automatically: basic analytics (pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser) collected via our analytics provider, and technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

How we use your data

• To operate the directory and match your brief to relevant agencies.
• To create and manage agency accounts and listings.
• To send transactional email (brief confirmations, lead notifications, review requests, account and billing messages).
• To moderate listings and reviews, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
• To measure and improve the service.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Who we share it with

Matched agencies.When you submit a brief, the contact and project details in it are disclosed to the agencies we match to your project so they can respond to you. This is the core purpose of the marketplace — please don't include information you don't want shared with those agencies.

Service providers (data processors). We use trusted third parties to run the service, who process data only on our instructions: hosting and database (Supabase), application hosting (Vercel), transactional email (Resend), payments (Stripe), and analytics. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Legal. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

International transfer

Some of our providers process data on servers outside Malaysia and Singapore. Where we transfer personal data abroad, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a comparable standard of protection as required under the applicable PDPA.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Briefs and the leads generated from them are retained while relevant to the matched agencies and then archived or deleted; account and listing data is kept while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.

Your rights

Under the Malaysian and Singaporean PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent to our continued use or disclosure of it (which may mean we can no longer provide certain features). To exercise any of these, email hello@agencies.asia and we will respond within the timeframe required by law.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is controlled by row-level security policies at the database, and administrative access is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data using reasonable technical and organisational measures.

Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of cookies and privacy-friendly analytics to keep you signed in and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children

The service is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date above and, where appropriate, a notice on the site.
